He didn't release anything classified, he has the authorization to declassify anything if needed, this is another example of trying to bash Trump. You seem to think someone on the inside should be fired, did it ever occur to you that you have a quick on the trigger media that might be the problem? Seriously, it's almost as if I were to go to CNN and tell them this story, they run with it saying they had a "government source".

Actually I don't. His insiders are different than someone else's insiders? He was reported to be looking at doing a complete shakeup of his Senior Staff. That's him firing them not me, in fact not me even caring one way or the other. This is one of the fumiest Presidencies of all time. I didn't make that up, and while I can be mistaken, I believe I posted that already. Now you say he didn't. What are you basing your opinion on? Where are you getting your info? I'd actually be interested in seeing what your sources have to say, and I won't be arrogant in my view or come at someone who has possibly their own view and put them down in the process. So please post what you believe, and let the site be the judge as you seem to be doing.

I base it on this guy:
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwj6stm-jfPTAhXDwFQKHe3AA18QFggqMAE&url=https%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FH._R._McMaster&usg=AFQjCNGqeclCQ4dZm4zM4zF7tlPoRtVv4A&sig2=fBs92weEEW_AXzQizBoxXA

And this quote from said person: "At no time, at no time, were intelligence sources or methods discussed, and the president did not disclose any military operations that were not already publicly known."

Source - The link YOU posted.

What do I believe? I belive the media is deadset on launching an arsenal of gotcha questions, barely researched information, and anything they can to 1. make money from sensational headlines, and 2. to get somethign to stick weill enough to produce more of #1.

When I read the news I ignore the opinion and I don't allow myself to be sucked in when the report is too good and bad to be true. I look for the facts. Here are three facts from this article:

1. An unnamed source claims the Presdient released classified information to the Russians
2. The Presdient is the top declassification authority
3. Gen McMasters, I man I consider to be an honorable, and outstanding leader, and a hero to this country, emphtically statted the report is false.

Hard to say. The POTUS could declassify anything he wants but the definition of what is a "high crime and misdemeanor" is pretty open. If Congress wants to impeach him for it, they could.

Of course if he offered Comey some sort of quid pro quo to keep his job, now that might be more clearly impeachable as bribery.

I agree, but this seems weird, and the timing of everything seems suspect. This article came out earlier and the WH JUST came out and denied it. I'm waiting on more, but Trump was going to fire a shitload of senior staff over leaks. Now the leaks aren't a democratic issue, this is your OWN house giving you the shaft. It's not one of the senior staffers (except the CoS)....messed with him before, how does it feel now? There was an oped over the weekend where the writer asked does he want to be President? It's a valid question. He's not in full control of anything, doesn't want to learn anything, and only knows bullying as a means to get things done. That is NOT a leader in deed, just one in name only. I'm beginning to believe this is his campaign ignorance to the swamp coming back to say hi. He disrespected a LOT of GOP favorites, and payback is a bitch when you gave them major positions in your WH with the biggest one being the CoS. Pence won't rock the boat being he knows he's next in line should he get the nod to pull in knowing Trump pulled out. The old RNC chair is having a blast!!!

SSG Warren Swan - I think the Republican's are in the same spot they've been in for several years. They are being held hostage by the Tea Party contingent and they have spent so much time demonizing the Democrats that they can't conceive of working with them and calling the Tea Party's bluff.

SPC Kevin Ford - in this one case, I don't see them as an issue...YET. Cruz hasn't weighed in yet, and that one voice can set the tone for the Tea Party. I'm not worried about the Dems being I do not believe they are in a position to mess with him yet, but the traditional GOP is. Long memories. I want to see the spin that comes from the many caucases and parties on it tho. What will Hannity say tonight?

MSgt Mullins has it right. The backlash, if any, will come from intel sharing with allies. I'd expect some re-evaluation on that front.

Assuming this turns out to be true, our allies may be a bit more circumspect in sharing information with us. Who knows what sort of damage that will create with our and our allies' operations.

Every day I'm continually surprised that not only can it get worse but that his supporters don't care.

I'd agree fully except timing. The timing is so off. No pics, yet the Russians take and post em. Have a meeting with no one there? Really? Fire the man who was "coming after you" one day after he asks for more assistance from the Justice Dept on his investigation? Not saying anything other than asking the question that will dominate the background for a long time. Code word intell can't be thrown around freely no matter what you think or who you are. We should welcome Manning and Snowden back with open arms then. But I'm only a SSG...not the brightest or the fastest, but can read crayon pretty good.
