I really enjoy these lists but I also think it's important to that people develop their own questions based on information about the company they are interviewing with.

These are good questions to be prepared for, but other things are just as important. In the position I retired from, I often interview people for employment, and employees for promotion. There are many questions that most people answer in pretty much the same way.......so how do you distinguish yourself? You dress appropriately for the position you are seeking......you show confidence, without slipping over the line into arrogance......if there are more than one person conducting the interview, you respond to all the panel members, not just the one that posed the question......if you don't understand the question, ask for it to be repeated (much better than giving an answer that has nothing to do with the question posed to you)......If you struggle with an answer, put it behind you and move on to the next question with confidence (chances are others will struggle with the same question - don't let it throw you off your game).....look people in the eye, and don't mumble your answers.......speak clearly. At the end of the interview, thank your interviewers for their time and consideration. If there is a handshake, make it a firm one.

You're absolutely right. I especially like what you said about putting a rough answer behind you and moving on. There is a lot more consider than just the questions when preparing for an interview.

Once conducted an interview that had a question on it that stopped everyone in their tracks. They all left the room thinking they had blown it....when in reality, it didn't hurt them at all. On top of the list? Those that didn't let it throw them off on the following questions.

Thank you for sharing, this seems like some great advice for anyone who is on the hunt or even for those who may be changing career fields in the future.
