Man arrested in Florida after going AWOL from military 45 years ago

The guy went AWOL back in 1972... unless he killed someone on his way out the door, why should anyone care? Give him a dishonorable discharge and congratulate him for keeping his nose clean these past 45 years.

I read of one AWOL, later categorized as deserter, from Fort Monmouth during WWII. In the late 1950's, a skeleton was found a few feet off the road, in the weeds of the meadowlands area. The dog tags ID'd the remains as the missing soldier, who was apparently the victim of a hit and run.

Wow that's sad wouldn't want to go out that way
