I welcome all law abiding citizens buying weapons and exercising there 2nd admendmet rights. I also encourage these citizens to get proper training with their weapons and education on laws regarding self defense. Depending where they reside they may find the law may not favor them if it they have to defend themselves.

Just FYI, there is insurance for gun owners and people who legally concealed carry. I have it, hoping I never need it (like my guns).

Right after Trump was elected, liberals started buying guns. I couldn't be happier! The only thing that gives my pause is how unhinges some liberals can get, and I sincerely hope those people don't buy guns or go anywhere near them.

For anyone who is not unhinged, I love the fact that they're getting guns. The 2nd Amendment is for everyone, not just conservatives. Buying a gun is a bit like having a child -- suddenly there is this new huge responsibility, and most people take it seriously. The irony is that the 2nd Amendment exists primarily because of the fear of government, and the left has ridiculed that idea for decades, and yet that is EXACTLY why liberals are buying guns post-Trump. But even though that irony is a potential source for comedy, I won't make fun of anyone who buys a gun because they are wary of the government.

SP5 Christine Conley - The militia clause in the 2nd Amendment is there exactly because the Framers didn't trust the government. Or to put it another way, they trusted the people more than they trusted the government. The 2nd Amendment doesn't exist because the Framers believed in the right to hunt, or even the right of people to protect themselves from criminals. They obviously believed in those things too, but the main reason for the 2nd Amendment's existence is because they didn't trust government. That idea has been ridiculed by liberals for decades. The liberal view has consistently been that the government is too strong to resist, and anybody deciding to resist would essentially be committing suicide.

SP5 Christine Conley - You are missing the point. I just explained the main reason for the existence of the 2nd Amendment. Liberals historically have ridiculed the idea that people would actually buy guns because they fear the government, and yet that is exactly what they did after Trump got elected.

I am less than impressed with "how liberals turned up recently." Neither demonstrations nor riots are anything like standing up to the government in any meaningful way, especially when you know the government is going to do nothing about it. That's the coward's way of pretending to be courageous.

The best example I can think of where the 2nd Amendment was used for its intended purpose was the Korean shop owners during the Rodney King riots. Government broke down and was unable to protect them, so they got their guns and protected their own lives and businesses and property with their own guns. You know when I'll be impressed by liberals? When armed liberals stand up to other liberals who are threatening to destroy their property or deprive their rights.

SP5 Christine Conley - I don't wonder why liberals and women are arming themselves. I like the fact that liberals and women are arming themselves. I just find it ironic and amusing that the reason they are arming themselves is fear of "this lunatic government", which is exactly why the 2nd Amendment exists as written, yet liberals for years have ridiculed that idea and disparaged anyone who put forward that idea.

I'm actually looking to purchase an air taser, but they're very expensive, almost as much as a pistol.
