I have a similar story...in reverse. Several years ago, I was working for a Hospital in Colorado Springs. A co-worker and I were attending a meeting at the city to discuss a future road construction project and how it might affect the hospital. Prior to the meeting an old man, wearing cowboy boots, torn jeans, and a cowboy hat, walked in and sat down next to us. We introduced ourselves and we began talking about the project and what we were doing that day. Early in the conversation, he told us we must have both been in the Military, because of the language we used and he said he always liked working with military folks. Somewhere along the line my friend mentioned that his son was applying for colleges but really wanted to get into Colorado College but that they probably wouldn't be able to afford a private school. After the meeting the old man stopped my friend and gave him a business card, telling him to call him the next day. It turned out he was one of the wealthiest men in Colorado and a member of the Colorado College board of Trustees.
