I've found through my years of adventure that the best way to not get shot or bothered by the Police is to not do stupid shit and if that fails just be polite.

Capt Gregory Prickett - I suppose it's racist to observe that blacks are disproportionately represented in crime stats?

I asked my son-in-law a former Lansing MI, police officer his opinion about the "attitude" of people when he was involved in a police stop. He said the following was his pre-conceived notions going into a stop.
_The sooner in the conversation someone claimed that they would never lie to a police officer, the more likely they were lying.
_The people he stopped after midnight were far more likely to have a chip on their shoulder, most likely having something to do with how much alcohol was in their system. After 2am expect a fight from anyone between 16 and 40.
_The seemingly physically fit males from lower income neighborhoods, regardless of race, were more likely to run once it was clear that they had illegal drugs in their possession. Most of the runners were not nearly as fast as you'd think. Guys in flip flops should never try to run.
_The females from higher income neighborhoods were more likely to cry once it was clear that they had illegal drugs in their possession.
_The people from higher income neighborhoods were more likely to keep driving, ignore the lights and sirens, get to their driveway, and attempt to enter their house because he couldn't possibly be pulling them over. Particularly women between the ages of 35-55.
_Males wearing flannel when the temperature was over 85 degrees, or without shirts, or with the sleeves ripped off their shirts, were more likely to fight.
_Drunk Females were more likely to fight in direct proportion to the height of their stiletto heels.
_College kids with a lot of their friends around, who have not yet left the parking lot of their local college bar are more likely to fight directly in proportion to how many young ladies are watching their detention and questioning. They are more likely to cry and beg for a second chance if you detain them away from a crowd.
_Anyone driving a high dollar exotic import car was more was likely to invoke the "fear" of the Mayor or the Governor or some other elected official. He nor his department ever got a call from any elected official.
_Mothers from low income neighborhoods were more likely to try and administer corporal punishment to their errant teenage sons if they arrived on scene, and some of those ladies have one hell of a right cross.

Capt Gregory Prickett - I think we jumped to the Racist condemnation a little quickly. Not everyone has the writing skills that you do.
" I was a police officer for over 20 years. You contact people of different races based on the demographics of the area. When I worked in the projects, I ran into more minorities. When I worked in a mid- to hi-income areas, I ran into more whites. It is purely a matter of demographics"
Same message, just stated in a better manner, look at how you phrased this, you lumped the minority folks in the projects and the whites in the nice areas. Is that racist or stating an observation based on your experience.
Pretty sure you aren't a racist and the SSG more than likely isn't either. That's a cop-out that shuts folks out and keeps them from developing and progressing in their skills.

SGM StCyr, every person who was shot by police was not doing stupid things as you put it. Some were shot for just being black.

Like who? You only see small clips of information about the cop but see massive clips of the blm people. This is the goal of the msm

MSG Melvin Miller - depends on your source. I'm sure there are rare instances and these seem to fit the left's agenda nicely as we've seen the last eight years so that is what is in the paper and msm.

And claiming that blacks are somehow more apt to have encounters with police raises an issue of race that is troubling." So did you have more encounters with one group more than another group? Was there a difference in types of crime you encountered in one place vs. another place?

Not surprising the the lying racist does this. Trumps admin pretty much has given the police the green light to continue in the murder of unarmed blacks and kids without fear of prosecution.
