One of the meetings was a private conversation between Sessions and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak that took place in September in the senator’s office, at the height of what U.S. intelligence officials say was a Russian cyber campaign to upend the U.S. presidential race.
The previously undisclosed discussions could fuel new congressional calls for the appointment of a special counsel to investigate Russia’s alleged role in the 2016 presidential election. As attorney general, Sessions oversees the Justice Department and the FBI, which have been leading investigations into Russian meddling and any links to Trump’s associates. He has so far resisted calls to recuse himself.

MSG Joseph Cristofaro - not fake news. There were private meetings in Sessions office among other things.
I personally think Trump will put the country on track. HRC would have been a train wreck...
...but I can't look away when things aren't adding up
I wish there was a way to look into these Russia ties in an unpartisan way to move past it.
-either there were no corruptions or it was the living embodiment of a Tom Clancy novel... either way, at the highest levels of government, it's worth knowing to be secure and confident in our country.
-I'm not sure with our partisan / polarized blinders and biased media that an independent investigation could ever occur.

MSG Joseph Cristofaro - I understand what you're saying. My only argument is that he lied about it and then lied about the purpose of the private meeting before conveniently forgetting what the meeting was about.
I'm all for innocent until proven guilty, but investigation must happen regardless.

AG Sessions was a real hard - line Clinton hunter back in the day, pretty clear about the meaning of perjury when it was President Clinton's words under the microscope. Now let's look at his words and go forward with the investigation of Russian - Trump campaign connections just as carefully. Maybe a six year, multimillion dollar investigation by a special prosecutor?
