Jesse should have stayed in the pro-wrestling circus. No one takes him serious anymore. Its a shame he is trying to make money on the death of Chris Kyle.

GySgt Bill Smith - Financially, Ventura has hurt himself. He decided to file the lawsuit. He did not have to do that. He saw an opportunity to make a quick buck, and jumped on it. Granted getting punched in the face is physically harming him. If he was really that upset about it, he should have filed CRIMINAL charges against Kyle at the time of the incident. Assault is a crime. Punching somebody in the face because they are talking shit is assault. So if Ventura was so upset about it, he should have called the police, let assault charges be filed, and then testified in court. He did not do that. He waited until Kyle mentioned the incident in his book, and confirmed that it was Ventura he was referring to that he decided to take it to the legal system. Was Chris Kyle in the right for punching him in the face for talking shit? No he was not. Ventura suing him well after the fact is not right either. Both sides could have handled it better, but continuing a petty lawsuit, over a petty bar fight, that has to be handled by the widow of a murder victim is a classless act.

Capt Gregory Prickett - Well Ok, let me make this very clear. That is a stupid view and you are making an emotionally charged decision.

GySgt Bill Smith - True, but he did not do it by filing a petty lawsuit. He did it by writing about himself. As with any sea/war stories I am sure some things were enhanced for entertainment purposes. He didn't sue Jessie Ventura for damages caused to his hand when he punched him in the face. Before you jump on it, burglars have sued home owners for injuries sustained in the act of burglarizing their homes so it is not too far fetched. Ventura had the opportunity to turn this into a PR dream for himself. He could have dropped the suit when Kyle was murdered, gone to Taya, and given her his condolences, and he would have been seen as compassionate. It would have made it a semi feel good story about humanity, and he would have been the center of it for the right reasons.
