RP Members and Connections - A new company helping transitioning military service members and Veterans established by one of very own RallyPoint Members - PO2 (Join to see) Check out her great new organization, through the link abov, that provides assistance to Veterans in a number of areas and pass it on to your connections and friends:
- Give transitioning military and veterans an easy way to look for jobs and find resources.
- Become the advocate for helping employers better understand the culture and qualities military and veterans bring to the work force.
- AND, lastly find new ways to set up apprenticeship or other transition programs (specifically, focusing on service type industries, as opposed to technology; like DOT, building, automotive etc.) during the six months prior to service separation that will create job opportunities upon service completion.

The sole purpose of creating CompanyVet is to address the ongoing issue of veteran unemployment and under-employment. We’re dedicated to helping transitioning military and veterans find rewarding employment after serving our country. And, to assist employers in better understanding the culture and value veterans deliver. Continuously searching for new and diverse ways to advocate reputable careers to honor those who served.

As a Veteran of the United States Navy, Susan worked on the communications systems for Fighter Jets from 1979 to 1983 (and, then reserves from 1983-1985). After her service, and a brief time with Eastman Kodak as a Field Engineer while completing her Bachelor’s in Computer Science (and, graduating Sum Cum Laude). She went on to spend the next 18 years at Volt Delta (previously Nortel Networks) doing everything from configuration and sales engineering of national databases (such as: 411 National Directory Assistance, 911 Emergency services) to research and cost/price analysis of new technologies (wireless Location Based Services, Global Cloud based Enterprise Solutions). Besides Susan’s own military background, her brother SFC Jurnak is still serving in the US Army (close to retirement). The knowledge and experience she has through 18 years of building and deploying National Databases, combined with her military background is how she’ll be able to help with removing barriers of entry for veterans into the private job sector.
