I would normally agree about the taxpayer money issue, ect. However, I do think these were the sharpest uniforms ever issued. I also know the state of morale and esprit de corps among the ranks, which is largely due to the climate most of you have created. A new uniform may not make a difference, but then again, it might. Bottom line, none of us are making the decision here.

Not only should we bring them back today, we should be issuing them. The NCOs and NCOs only should be authorized the Ike jacket for optional wear as a distinguishing item that recognizes the unique responsibility we place on the NCO corps.
We want an image with the uniform. It must be rooted in history. Let's go back to a war with a win in the win column that doesn't have an asterisk.
