Can't speak as a Black citizen, but have witnessed police corruption in a dry County and observed how slippage occurs in a Corrections environment. Every day the norm changes until people become what they believe the inmates are. Tough to make a change from inside the system as staff. All you can do is set an example and mentor new Officers.

Just finished reading entire story. Unfugging believable. There is no way there isn't a constant pattern of misconduct within that Sherriff's department.
