On the plus side, us Reservists and Guardsman can deduct the expenses of uniforms on our taxes...

Yep, I deduct nearly all my military expenses. Otherwise I couldn't "afford" to maintain my military participation.

SMSgt Thor Merich - I just read the other day an article about unknown tax deductions, and Reservists can also deduct expenses for military travel when having to pay out of pocket.

It is - should train with the proper provisions....... but it is service-wide, in a way, so not really surprised.

Guard and reserves were issued BDUs and Boots along with MTO&E TA 50 or what ever they are called today and Could DX the Uniforms and Boots if they were damaged or warn out
