With the numerous years of supervisory and leadership experience and knowledge gained from my years of civilian employment, military duty positions and my two year deployment, I am an excellent candidate for any position with supervisory, liaison, administrative, assessment and budget responsibilities.

First Sergeant
I am the First Sergeant for Alpha Troop 1-303rd CAV with an assigned strength of 98 Soldiers in which I am responsible for the Troop’s supervision, readiness, efficiency, discipline, management, morale and accountability. The 1SG is the senior enlisted leader, trainer and spokesperson that enforce established policies and standards for enlisted Soldiers pertaining to performance, care, conduct, appearance, effective personnel utilization and management and training; and ensure that subordinate NCOs do the same.
I am a firm supporter in the Family Readiness Group (FRG) as I believe taking care of my Soldiers and their Families is vital.
This is my 3rd First Sergeant position and have 25 years of service, I've acquired many skills and techniques in the leadership and supervisory arenas.

Being a First Sergeant, I interact with Soldiers daily and many times with Family members weekly or even more frequently based on current situations. I possess skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships, using tact and diplomacy in interacting with individuals, Soldiers and Families.

Course Manager / Primary Instructor
During my 6 years in the 205th REGT, I served as the M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank Primary Instructor and Course Manager and the MACDIS (Military Assistance to Civil Disturbance) Course Manager. I attended the Spokane Police Department’s Riot Control School. We learned about the Incident Command System (ICS) and I also incorporated ICS into our WAARNG MACDIS training. I attended Battle-Focused Instructor Training Course (BFITC), Tactical Certification Course (TCC) and Small Group Instructor (SGI) Course.

Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF)
Assigned as PSG for 40 Soldiers. Detainee Operations mission ran Theater Internment Facility (TIF) as NCOIC and occasionally as OIC. Charged with overall supervision/operations of facility including: security, conducting detainee violations procedures, determining/issuing detainee discipline, detainee health/welfare, guard training/scheduling.
