Am I the only one old enough to remember what was said about Ronald Reagan? The establishment did everything they could to sabotage Reagan's presidential bid and his eventual Presidency. The political elites (on both sides) just knew that Reagan would be a disaster because he was just a stupid cowboy, a dumb actor, and warmonger whose attitude to the Russians was quite wrong and upset the Chinese by saying incorrect things about Taiwan. I'm guessing the NATO states could use a bit of a shakeup, that the European Union needs to be reminded of past agreements with Russia.
