Good, Mattis is a good honest warrior, he will clash with people when he thinks they are wrong. We need more of this and a lot less going with the flow sort of mentality.

Don't know who, in the transition team, would be arguing with Mattis! This is the one guy that has seen the world as a leader, knows how to recognize useless people and can recognize incompetence! It's not like he is clueless, regarding the Department of Defense, or for that matter, much of anything else! I never had the honor to serve under him, but have quite a few friends that have and love him, would follow him to gates of hell and beyond. He is not the type of leader to put up with pandering bullshit civilian handlers will try to saddle his department with.
