I suspect that the VAST majority of Americans would support this - probably in the neighborhood of 90+%, but I have no faith that Congress will actually follow through. If they do, I'll be surprised. If they don't, I would hope that they would all be voted out at the earliest opportunity.

MAJ Bryan Zeski Exactly why we need a convention of the states to adopt this amendment without congress getting a vote. I'm all for Article 5 convention to pass this amendment!

Lobbying is your right to peaceably address grievances to your government. How do you ban lobbyists and not impede on your ability to influence politicians. the only credible idea I have is to limit the ability of the federal government and divest powers back to the states. that way small businesses will have more ability to lobby whereas now only massive corporations can afford to lobby the fed.

MAJ (Join to see) - To me it looks like the only "lobbyists" we see are corporations ( defense, Pharmecutical, Energy, Etc) that are using the excuse of "reoresenting the people to line their pockets,

1stSgt Eugene Harless - Very true for the most part! I work for the Department of Energy and most of our large contracts are decided by congress and the corporation's lobbyists.

Great idea for the American people, but getting the crap weasels in congress to vote for it is another matter.

I think it was Mark Twain who said "Politicians and Diapers should both be changed often..... and for the same reason"
