Thanks for sharing a sober and somber picture as the black horse drain caisson carries the remains of Air Force Maj. Troy Gilbert to wards the resting place for his remains at Arlington National Cemetery TSgt Joe C./.
Many times while I was at Fort Myers I saw a caisson lined up with black horses waiting by the chapel or entering Arlington National Cemetery with flag-draped casket on the caisson.

Old cemetaries definitely have stories to be told. Bomber crew were often buried in a mass grave to include a small union unit who was ambushed by Native Americans. Mothers and new borns buried in the 1800s. A large headstone bought by the soldiers for their beloved COL.
