Can equality truly be equal if an assaulter (gender irrelevant) is not charged/allowed to sue regardless of a reaction?
I, with much of normal society, was raised to never hit a girl. Yes, this is a brutal punch (not considered a 'proportional response') and yes a one-year suspension may be considered 'light' by many.
There is no audio and we do not know what led up to this, but why wasn't the woman charged? She clearly (1) pushes and (2) swings/hits Joe Mixon PRIOR to his reaction (brutal punch).

Saying that a man should never, under any circumstance, hit a woman, implies that is it is impossible for a woman to harm a man.
