I am Pro cop 9 times out of 10, but this is the kind of crap that makes the good beat cops life hell. When the higher ups cover for the dirt bags and the people know the system is rigged they will be more aggressive and result in more officers put in danger.
This corruption leads to the Police Brutality claims, which lead to a war on cops... It all ties together. They need to clean house unfortunately it will require an out side influence to do it, and that rarely happens.

You are right when you state no one wants to have outside investigators come in. There are times where it is imperative so no corruption can take place. It is best policy for a smaller police Dept. due to not having the right specialists to observe the scene and evidence.

Makes you wonder how many other PD's are actually doing the same thing. So we're told not to trust cellphone videos being they're "incomplete" and "don't show everything". After reading this, it would a reasonable assumption that the cellphone video IS the one we need to look at, and the PD's videos are "incomplete" and damn sure "not showing everything".

Damn it, this is why all LEO's are getting labeled! It only takes a few of these types of actions for the public not to trust any LEO. The Law Enforcement Community is huge and there are some bad apples, we rely on these video's for proof of action, they can't be tampered with.
