Black Lives Matter is a movement, not an organization. DeRay McKesson is an activist who helped launch an organization called Campaign Zero. IF McKesson and Campaign Zero are guilty, they should pay.

Maybe I'm wrong but Isn't inciting a riot against the law? Shouldn't he be facing criminal charges? I wasn't there so didn't hear what he said or to who he said it. However , all the looters smiling and waving at the cameras as they steal items haven't been prosecuted yet to my knowledge.

MSgt Ken Flood - If there is sufficient evidence to prove that he was inciting a riot or encouraging violence, he should be found guilty. Leading a protest isn't the same thing as inciting or participating in a riot though, he may be culpable... however that remains to be seen. Could he have prevented the violence? Did he try to prevent violence? What was his relationship to those who became violent?
If that officer can show that McKesson encouraged violence, or that he didn't take reasonable action which could have prevented violence, he will be found culpable and should pay damages.
