Marine Vet Running For Office Was Listed As A Deserter

Another wannabe scum sucking POS, trying to lie his way into politics. When I first read this, I was waiting to read there is a mistake, and this ex Marine is on the up and up. But, he isn't, and that's sad. Once you tell a huge lie to the public, it's difficult to fess up and tell the truth. It's the same old story of once a lie, then comes a bigger lie, and so on.

For years, former state Rep. Kevin Haggerty portrayed his service as a Marine as nothing but honorable, but a federal military document shows the Marines declared him a deserter and absent without leave for two months.

The document is a “chronological record” of his Marine service, whose active duty tour lasted from Dec. 30, 1996, to Sept. 12, 1997, and reserve duty from Sept. 13, 1997, to Sept. 15, 1998, when he was discharged.
