I mentioned in a similar post that it would seem Veterans can learn to be civilians except Civilians don't learn to be Veterans. An example could be if a Hiring Manager hired a veteran that had a similar role or job/responsibility except thiings weren't all lined up on paper, it could be beneficial to employ the veteran anyway. Say a veteran was supply and looked for a job in logistics... It could be a rough start and perhaps a lower job title, after time when the veteran starts to show their limits and capabilities then the employer would have a better fit. Not all companies appreciate employees anyway, even when tangible items depreciate. Then again it's hard to be a force multiplier when the healthcare mandate shuts that one down.

Thats a great point. Employers definitely can be taking a leap of faith when hiring veterans since they are unable to understand a veteran's previous experience. I'd like to think that many are willing to do this.
