Thanks for providing additional news about the assault on Mosul, Iraq by Iraqi government and Kurdish peshmerga forces which is supported by a U.S.-led coalition air and ground support SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL.
Hopefully this assault will result in the violent death of as many ISIS thugs and their supporters as possible and they will not be able to flee and blend in with the population.
It would be wonderful if after the carnage inflicted on ISIS that the city of Mosul will be rebuilt and many expatriates will take their places once again in the neighborhoods of Mosul.
Hopefully after ISIS and all its supporters are terminated with extreme prejudice or the remote possibility that some will surrender, the infrastructure will be repaired and Kurdish and other expatriates welcomed back to the neighborhoods.
Once the refinery and all storage and distribution nodes are cleared I hope that oil will once again be drilled, refined and distributed to benefit the people of Mosul and the surrounding area primarily and all of Iraq secondarily.
Thanks for mentioning me SMSgt Minister Gerald A. "Doc" Thomas

Mosul is the 2nd largest Iraqi city and the seat of their oil industry. Many innocent people who just want to be free to live & raise their own families are there. The criminal Daesh really needs to be cleared off the face of the planet.

It takes years to develop a competent military. It appears they are improving.
