hmmm he ripped something from his pocket and took a shooting stance, they shot him thinking it was a gun and now people are mad? Yes a taizer could have taken him down but who has time to see if its a gun or not? oh and why was he allowed out if that was the way he acts? they have facilities that take care of people that are that far gone.

If it is a real gun the Tazer will cause the person to pull the trigger.
Once the person is going into a shooting stance one has to assume it is a gun and react accordingly.

I caught that, but we have too many people out there that believe the television shows.
I recall a case last year where a kid shot his brother and wondered why he did not get back up like on TV.

COL William Oseles - yup and you got the fake thugs because they saw it on tv and thought It was cool, then you got the "all whites are bad" group because they saw it on tv......and the "all blacks are thugs/allmuslims are terrorists/all cops are violent" crowds respectively. I grew up with a few kids that believed all native americans are a reddish brown.....it was sad they didn't know that people of all cultures and ethnicities can be very diverse in skin color, height, weight etc etc.....I knew a boy in high school that was treated very badly because he had a form of dwarfism which caused bowed legs and a very restricted growth, people laughed at him and acted like he belong in the circus, because you know, they are such things on tv! He was very surprised when all I did was great him in the proper manner with a real smile that said I was just being friendly. People need to stop with the looking to tv on how they should act and look at the real world.

30 years ago when I was a Law Enforcement officer the local police allowed a few of us to watch as some of their officers used something that I think was called Shoot/Don't Shoot. The officer was watching a video containing different scenarios that an officer might encounter. In a split second he had to decide weather to shoot or not. Thankfully I was never put into that situation, Air Force Police and Military Police are usually operating in a controlled environment. I wonder how some of the BLM protesters would fair in the Shoot/Don't Shoot program or if it even exists anymore.

After Ferguson there was a story whey they had one of the activist go through the Shoot/No Shoot scenario.
I think it was 6 times:
- Died twice,;
- Killed an unarmed civilian 3 times and actually shot an armed suspect twice.

Peace officers have one of the most difficult professions and he we are again with BLM when most lives matter (we can fill in the blanks for those that are a waste of space). When the police order individuals to comply and said individuals refuse there is an escalation in the force required and the question remains where the the line is between required and excessive force with the variable of everyone's perception is different. With that being said the decision of the required force is in the eye of the beholder..

I get sick of so many BLM people making the rest look bad, also 5 white men were shot the same day as one of the ones they are protesting being shot...all were unarmed! AND 7 latinos were killed who were also unarmed, one was a suicide call and they said they shot him to protect him......how many people are protesting that? Mean while corperate thugs are hiring mercinaries with dogs to attack unarmed protestors of the Dakota pipe line and some news outlets are trying to make the protestors look violent.....Just recently they did the most odd thing that the BLM organization can learn from.... they backed away and then formed a line to SHAKE HANDS with the real police that came there to protect both sides.......no one was arrested and some got hugs!
