Slightly off topic, but still M9 related, is everyone aware that Glock and Smith and Wesson offer significant discounts to military? Google it and save a lot of money on your next firearm purchase.

Pick one and let's move on. Do NOT return to the 1911. With FMJ ammo, .45 ACP does not offer appreciable advantages over 9mm, so give me the larger magazine, lower recoil and easier maintenance.

But just so we're clear, it's the least lethal weapon in the inventory, so let's not waste too much time on this.

Hurry? No, but I think we have more serious issues...pistols are poor stoppers, more so when we are all saddled with FMJ ammunition.

Whoa......back up....the .45 is significantly more likely to to put an enemy combatant down with one round: newer modern versions (Springfield XDM) not only have a match quality barrel but also a 13 round clip.

I loved it when the CoS of the Army said he could go to Cabella's and bulk purchase a G19 for everyone in the Army and be done with this whole process. It inspired me to go and buy one!

Considering the amount of money the military spends on things, they would get a better deal at Cabella's. I personally don't own a G19, I have a small frame, so i need something much smaller to conceal properly.
