As much as I enjoy the thought behind this, let's not confuse members of Congress with people who actually served the nation

I believe that if they were to operate as true so called service of our government they should have to be placed on the same level as us. So they know how it truly is being a civil servant. Cut thir pay also take fat off the top per say. Their retirement plans should like ours. We get screwed, so some fat cat who has no idea what it takes to serve gets pampered hell nah. That is BS take them strips off and hit it behind the hill like the rest of us. Hump it all day!!! Semper Fi!!!!

SFC William Farrell - the problem is they are above the Law and if we did the same Crap they did we would be in Camp Cupcake Like Martha Stuart...

SFC George Smith
SFC William Farrell -
I've said for years they should be paid on the Officers Pay scale starting with The Freshmen starting @ O-2 and working up up O-6... and with term limits of not to exceed 18 years...

SFC George Smith - Sounds like a plan George. Work their way up and have a career and move on. Something many of them never do. They stay there until they are too old to be effective or they are in the pockets of the lobbyists. Ive always said it with teachers. I work for a long time before I went into teaching. Many of the teachers who started right out of college at 21 years of age have no idea what the real world is like. Sort of like our congressmen!
