This causes me to wonder how many people are receiving kickbacks or other benefits from lending their names to the endorsement of either candidate. It's a sad time in our history that neither candidate has the qualities a presidential candidate should exude prior to taking the office of President. The current candidates have divided the nation into poll of voting against a candidate rather than voting for a candidate.

That was the first thought I had too - what kind of positions had been promised, kickbacks, etc... But I'm sure some of them took the opportunity to promote Trump freely.
I made a comment to a colleague this morning that I was surprised that many GOs agreed to the verbiage in the short letter - he made the statement, it's easy when it's not tied to funding...lol.

I hope we will be able to move past the celebrity endorsement lists soon SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. I am not really interested in which former flag officers support Hillary or Donald or Gary Johnson or any other candidate for President.

Arent we told from the minute that we enter the military that yes we can have political views, but we are not to be associated with a particular person? So how is it that our higher ups are breaking this and expecting us to follow it?
