Fortunately, he managed to get his plane safely away in time to punch out. Unfortunately, Capt Jeff Kuss of the Blue Angels had to make the sacrifice to protect civilians. Both acted in the highest honor to their service and their country. They saved lives, even at the cost of one's own life.

I'm glad Maj. Turner was able to walk away. I was saddened by the death of CAPT Kuss.
