He was true warrior and the job he did as a over-watch saved thousand of lives. Any one that was in a convoy that traveled on MSR's have guys like him to thank for keeping or help keeping the routes safe or green as we called it. It takes balls to sit many hours on a scope all day to keep your brothers safe. I loved all guardian angles and only got to meet a couple that had over watch on us, Two Army and a Marine team that would come down to our site every morning and check on us when we arrived to the site. The Marines had oversight on the project at night, when security was limited so they kept eyes on all night from 10-15 story building, in the center of town and the combat engineers had a small fire team they had to stay over night until we would arrive and sent out our security element that would widen the security cordon of 3 blocks and we searched and cleared all buildings, as the work crew started their work. The over watch would observe and keep the bad guys at a distance. GOD BLESS Chris Kyle and others like him SOF and Regular Infantry. These are the untold stories of team work, that happen every day to do a mission and keep everyone safe.

Personally, I don't agree with this happening. He did his job. Nothing more, nothing less. Also, it kinda marginalizes the accomplishments of every other Ranger, SF, ParaRescue, MARSOC, and SEAL operator that excelled at his job but didn't get lucky enough to have his exploits reported.

SSG Michael Hartsfield, You're entitled to your opinion, but I don't agree with it. Chris Kyle is a legend. I'm sure if someone else, Ranger, SF, ParaRescue, MARSOC, SEAL, saved as many lives as he did, and killed more people as a sniper, than anyone else, they would be recognized also.
