End Needless Interactions With Police Officers During Traffic Stops

Hate doesn't perpetuate the killings. It's fear, fear for your own life based on a percieved or real threat. Cops are not our there executing black people (more whites have been killed by Cop) out of hate, they employ deadly force because they believe they are in danger. What's missing in the discussion is the number of cops that have been killed at routine traffic stops that has resulted in this fear. For anyone who have been in combat patrols understand this fear or heighten sense of alert/reaction. To Cops, the community is similar to a warzone (more cops killed in the streets than military in wars in recent history). Also, just like in war zones, we stop vehicles with minor infractions because it does 2 things. #1 minor infractions are violations of the law....police enforce the law. #2 many minor infractions are symptoms of other issues like drugs, existing warrants, etc. Thoughts?

Nice idea, and it could be effective, the problem with it is to give the "fix it" ticket, I have to come to the door. I still have to ask for your info and I still have to run your info through the national database. What would be a more effective tool would be mutual respect not based off job but as a person to person. It sucks to be pulled over, but having an instant attitude at the cop? You've lost before we began.

There are two ways to remove interactions with police. The first is to remove the police entirely and add more Big Brother to do their job. I know how much most everyone loves that option. The second, and easier way is to avoid doing things that cause the interactions with the cops in the first place.
