It is interesting when medical or other focused discipline personnel try to determine what happened over a century earlier with limited hard evidence and primarily anecdotal evidence.
Certainly Mary Todd Lincoln experienced tremendous grief over the deaths if her children as did countless others during the civil war.
Perhaps Sotos is correct in his belief that Mary Todd Lincoln suffered from pernicious anemia.
If so I hope this information could benefit somebody today.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - My cardiologist recommended taking a daily B12 supplement which is the only thing on my blood work which can be high and be okay.
I too do not like liver. When I was in England I ate liver unawares in stews and meat pies. That is the only way I think I could tolerate liver - unawares. :-)
