5 Fictional Military Leaders We’d Actually Follow Into Combat

What about Major Winters from Band of Brothers? Ok, even as I wrote that, I realised he's not actually "fictional", so... Sorry, it's early.

Although not fictional, I would be proud of following a leader such as LTC Hal Moore (We Were Soldiers). He was hard and expected much from his troops, however he was fair and cared for them as well. I have been in the Military now for 21 years and have never yet ran into a leader like that. No disrespect intended but since 911, it seems most leaders are pathetic now, only caring for themselves and not the troops they are supposed to lead. There are still some good ones out there but not nearly enough.

I'd work with Hawkeye Pierce and Margaret Houlihan any day of the week! Even the Operating Room has to to have humour, it builds creativity. Also its fun flying around in those Whirlybird CasiVac Choppers!
