Thank for reminding us SGT (Join to see). My paternal grandfather served in and fought with the British Army against the Turks in Gallipoli and later against the Germans in France and Belgium. My father was a teenager in London during WWII and survived the blitz while other relatives were killed in their homes.
Some of us can talk about wheat we did during the various wars while others are restricted from what we can say. Hopefully each can lets their descendants know they served.

Yes brother LTC Stephen Ford your so right. We have to tell our younger generation what we went thru in the family's history so they will know there family's past has been and has done and all the wars we all have been in and the history and change we have seen in the US

My grandfather was the same way Keith, worked on planes. He was a POW in the Bataan Death March as well. My dad was a jet mechanic as well during the Vietnam war..didn't talk much of it other than he only served 4 years in the USAF. Thank you for sharing this story SGT (Join to see)

TSgt Joe C., my uncle that died in WWII was shot down and was in the death march too. He didn't make it. My son was in the Army four years and got out.

Thanks SGT (Join to see). My father and his brothers all served in WWII except for one who had heart problems. My grandfather served in WWI and his son served in WWII. Im proud of them all.

I know you are SFC William Farrell. My grandfather was in WWI and my dad and his brother were in WWII. I have another uncle who serv d in WWII, but he died in the war.
