E-CNTRL MS INTO W-CNTRL AL. A CORRIDOR OF RELATIVELY MAXIMIZED GUST
POTENTIAL MAY BE REALIZED NEAR THE MS/AL BORDER OVER THE NEXT 1-2
HOURS.
DISCUSSION...RADAR MOSAIC SHOWS A MATURE SQUALL LINE FROM N-CNTRL MS
EWD INTO W-CNTRL AL. THIS LINEAR COMPLEX IS MOVING SSEWD AT 25-30
KT. A 40-KT GUST WAS MEASURED AT KGTR AT 1945Z IN NERN MS. THE
AIRMASS DOWNSTREAM OF THE TSTM BAND IS CHARACTERIZED AS STRONGLY
UNSTABLE PER THE 18Z BMX/JAN RAOBS /2500-3000 J PER KG MLCAPE/.
DESPITE A FAIRLY MODEST WIND PROFILE...DEEP WNWLY FLOW AND AN
ORGANIZED COLD POOL WILL CONTINUE TO RESULT IN THE SQUALL LINE AND
RESULTANT SEVERE WIND THREAT MOVING SWD INTO E-CNTRL MS AND W-CNTRL
AL OVER THE NEXT FEW HOURS. THE TSTM BAND APPEARS MOST ORGANIZED
NEAR THE MS/AL BORDER AND IT IS SWD ALONG THE STATE BORDER WHERE A
CORRIDOR OF HIGHER CONCENTRATION OF LOW-END SEVERE/DAMAGING WIND
GUSTS MAY OCCUR AS THE LINE POSSIBLY ACC
