U.S. Army Drill Team Performs • Spirit of America 2014

Out of respect to those who were hurt in this weekends tragic events, I couldn't make any "jokes" today. I felt it would be tacky, and in poor taste. In lieu of this, tomorrow is a day of celebration for the country as a whole. We are going to celebrate 241 years of being the worlds premiere fighting force. In 1775, the Continental Congress authorized the Army to get riflemen for one year. Well as you can see, one year has turned into 241 years. We as professionals have left out footprint on every continent on earth. We've fought against massive and formidable Armies and won. The Army with assistance of her sister services are the ONLY country to maintain Back to Back World War champions. In every conflict, in every part of the world, we are there. We have no fear as Soldiers, in fact there is NO fear in any of the branches. We give each other hell, we fight among each other as siblings, but rest assured, inside that pretty blue uniform, there is a warrior behind it hell bent on taking a chunk out of you. A warrior that knows no color in regards to his/her fellow troop, or sister service. As those before me, and those after me, it has been my honest pleasure to have been able to serve. It has been my honor to have been given multiple chances to lead, train, and mentor Soldiers, and in some cases, troops from my sister services. I love my Army, I love the men and women in it the same way I love my own family. All of you regardless of MOS, rate, rank, branch of service are my brothers and sisters, and I love you all. I hope one day in the future, there will come a time where we're no longer needed. The threats are gone, and peace in it's fullness envelops the earth. Until that day comes "THIS WE'LL DEFEND" will be our hallmark. Semper Fi will be the Marines, To get to you, they have to get through us..US Navy, Aim High, Air Force. But when you put us together, there are four horsemen coming for you, on each steed is a member of each branch. They are not coming to make friends. They are coming to protect those who need it, protect our homeland, and they'll have a guest in the rear waiting and his name is death. Mess with us, and you'll get your one on one counseling session with him. Thanks to everyone regardless of branch. We are one.
