Drinking the cool aid is when you assume once side is right and the other wrong. Just what has been said will be taken away. And was it said or did the other party say it was said?

Thus far in this mess (can't really call it a campaign) I have seen far more of the other saying something was said than I have seen something said.

ok, in several interviews, from out of his mouth, I have seen and heard trump bragging about dodging the draft, I have seen him literally say that "avoiding venereal disease was my Vietnam" and when asked "do you support the GI Bill" the answer was "No" the reporter then looked confused. he repeated himself and so did trump then he started rambling on about trade deal and how we are getting screwed. granted on that one he probably just didn't know what the GI Bill was since, lets face it, he's probably never had to hear it before. its just a very prominent example of someone preying on a group that normally is an easy republican vote by make blanket claims like "I support the military, I want to build you up, you guys are heroes" but then actively showing that he feels service is beneath him and doesn't understand almost anything about the military.

I agree the mud slinging is insane but in this one particular instance, those are 3 things without a doubt that I have actually seen and heard the man say. We've seen how much the campaign actually means to the presidency though so the odds of doing something so unfavorable as removing the GI Bill are probably pretty low.

So. I do not support the GI bill means I am going to eliminate it? This is what I mean. Far more in the interpretation than what was said.

My humble guess is that many who claim to be "friend" of (you name the group) would not support a bill that others think is the salvation of the group.

Understand, I an not denouncing the GI bill. I am only saying no to the question did not qualify as I am going to eliminate it.

The end point, you heard what you wanted to hear and that is your right. But, it should not be presented as something else.

To be fair its sounds like you are doing the exact same in the opposite direction. whether its to play devil's advocate or not you are speculating that "this" means "this" as well.
