Honorable military service usually does confer citizenship, the problem is that it can be a very expensive and difficult fight, especially once one wakes up on the other side of the border.

These people were deported for a reason. All of them.

CSM David Heidke - The correct penalty for hitting his wife was time in jail,NOT deportation to India (a country he hasn't seen since he was an infant). We're he not a veteran I might feel differently, but her served in combat, REENLISTED and then served in combat again. He earned his right to live in this country far more than the anti-immigrant "deport everyone" crowd ever could.

LTC (Join to see) - Listen, I think that service members, veteran or not should get a fast track to citizenship. Heck, just the paperwork needed to join the service should suffice. That being said, this guy didn't get his citizenship for whatever reason. I would think for a veteran who put his life on the line for the flag would place that as their highest priority.

They don't "deport everyone." They don't deport anyone anymore.

Picking criminals to make your case is not a good idea.

CSM David Heidke - They deport plenty. Obama is the most anti-immigrant president we've had in decades, more than doubling Bush's deportation rate. We immigration lawyers call him the Deporter in Chief.
