Ricky Williams NFF College Football Hall of Fame highlights [Jan. 9, 2015]

Ricky Williams was an enigma, On one hand was caught smoking the 'Hippie Lettuce'. With the current debate over Marijuana, Ricky did have a seriously anxiety disorder and so did Jim Eisenreich of the Phillies and Twins, who had had a stint with the Twins, when he just gave up and quit.

Living in Minnesota, Jim was playing in a sandlot league. A scout from the Phillies who was looking at another player but took notice of Eisenreich. The scout asked Jim, why he wasn't playing professional baseball and he stated, that he was terrified of the fans. The former Twins player, got medication and went on to the play with the Phillies and a pretty good outfielder.

I know the feeling. In high school, I made an unassisted triple play, and then went on to be a 3rd baseman, SS and CF. I tried out with the Cardinals in an amateur player at Ray Winder Field, in Little Rock. The problem is, I was stressing so bad on every play, I made a few nice defensive plays, but I couldn't hit a lick. That was that. I am not even sure I could play with 50,000 people.

So, there are people out there, that can play but need an outlook or some kind of help with the anxiety. Both Williams and Eisenreich had pro-caliber stuff and you may have mad skills but people freak you out.
