It doesn't matter. Cruz is planning on having a contested convention where he knows he'll win. So play the game long enough to make it there. He's not that well liked with women, so why not have her as his VP? She would've brought some legitimacy to his campaign had folks not known about her from actions beforehand, to include loosing running for office before. If I was Carly, I wouldn't get too attached to the VP slot. Cruz thinks ahead, and should she become a liability, he will let her go and move onto the next person.

SSG Warren Swan - Trump has 991 delegates, and he only needs 58% of what remains to hit the magic 1237.
Even if he doesn't, the establishment hate Cruz perhaps more than they hate Trump.

SSG Warren Swan - There are enough unbound delegates to make up it, specially in Pennsylvania where Donald Trump win by a huge margin. We have about 150 unbound delegates. It will be hard to deny him the nomination if he comes this close.

LTC (Join to see) - Sir thanks for the numbers. I disagree that the establishment hates Cruz more. It wasn't due to Cruz's actions that Ryan spilled the beans on who actually nominates the candidate. It wasn't because of Cruz that they brought up the "superdeligate" thing they criticized the democrats over, and it was anything Cruz did that made the RNC have all the prospective candidates sign a "pledge". All of that is due to Trump. I'm not going to say that they "like" Cruz any better; I think they actually dislike the guy. But he is the lesser of two evils. With his VP choice, it just made it that much harder for himself. This is a case where the RNC has "gifted" HRC a free trip to the WH. I still predict there will be more looses for the GOP this November. In congress AND in the RNC itself.

It's actually a loss for those who are GOP faithful, being they voted for who they wanted, but the RNC went against them. No matter what happens the GOP looses. Trump gets the nod, HRC will tear him a new one on the way to the WH. Cruz gets the nod, the GOP base will be pissed they were overruled, and you have to wonder what will they do to get the voters to accept Cruz knowing they didn't want him. Again giving HRC the win.
