Good God...is our congress really wasting their time on this...they have more important things to look into.

MAJ Dave Brady - Look, the combat boot has gone thru so many changes over just the 40 plus years of my service. The army has this covered and will continually make changes as research and development agencies work their magic. For Congress to waste its time on this issue is simply way too PC for me and smacks of a feminist agenda. Look as more and more women enter the combat ranks ... those changes will come about as a mater of course. So yes....Good God....lets move on to more important issues.

Sir, Please elaborate on the difference, other than size, between male and female boots. Do they have dissimilar bones/bone structure? Are feet not in fact the same?

MAJ Dave Brady - Offended, really? Female Soldiers should be offended that this is even a suggestion. The timing couldn't be better as the Army is graduation the first female infantry officer. She was set to take command in the next few months but will that be put on hold until they get her special boots. When I first came in there was a choice of maybe 4-5 different boots to include cold weather. Now there are dozens, heck even Nike has a boot. The point is it doesn't take a multi million dollar study to say find one that's comfortable and wear it.
