Press on the link and for any who appreciates weather education, can get a healthy dose of Meteorology. The area where the winds converge is where the highest winds can be seen. Conversely, at the center of Lows and Highs the winds can be calm.

A weather forecaster can assume many things about these circulations called "streamlines". Col areas basically are areas where, like a Hurricanes Eye with the exception that these defomation zones are like a budding flower, where typically there is no weather.

Over Northern Mexico, we see a somewhat vigorous area of convergence. Kind of like an 'Airmass Black Hole'. Called a Main Asymtope of Confluence, there will most likely be high winds, precipitation and severe weather and at very least, thunderstorms (Convection) CB's, TCUs and so on.

Combine this with an upper Air Trough, Cold Air aloft and a few other parameters, you will see squall lines, thunderstorms and maybe hail. As you look into Texas, New Mexico and the Southern half of Arizona, these areas of strong convergence ARE producing high winds.
