It's never good to hear about someone getting a divorce. There is never a winner.

I hope and pray that military marriages will be strengthened SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL and that divorce rates will continue to drop and will drop well below the general population rate.

LTC Stephen F. it is truly great to hear/read of the divorce rates declining. I have been down that road and it is life impacting. With the drawdown in forces and deployments, its a great indication in the right direction in my opinion.

That is good news but there will always be high numbers in service branches and communities that always deploy. The Navy and Marines are always being forward deployed no matter peace or war. SOF and those that support will always be high. My community goes out 7-8 months back for 1 year training and work ups and deployed for training when home then back out. I hope the number drops but in my chiefs mess you could never find one person that had not been married at least twice if they married at all. The number could be drooping because support groups are doing a better job at helping family members while they are deployed. Thank you for the post.
