SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL I personally do not have any problem with these past service members being deported. There 8s absolutely for committing a felony. These people were tried by an American court (the most lenient and fair court system in the world) and convicted. They knew the policy for citizenship when they enlisted, they blew it. I do appreciate what they do at the bunker though. Great program to help veterans who have been sent back to Mexico.

To be honest I have some sympathy for these deported veterans; but, I concur with SFC Wade W. that these veterans were tried by a US court with due process, not a third world court, and they were each convicted and deported based on the merits of the cases against them.

I know this is an old post but....F that! Being a veteran doesn’t give you any special privilege above any other citizen in the face of the law. There are a lot of service members that go through several military enlistments without getting a single felony. Are the they exception. I sure hope not. I would hate to think that a majority of service members are would be felons that just haven’t been caught. Now each case is different but sometimes you yourself put yourself in these compromising position that lead you to be convicted for a felony. Your service does not excuse you from your actions.
And chances are that they will come back to America after they die? WHAT!! How they getting back? Smuggled in pieces? We are importing dead people too? How does a bead person get a permanent stay visa? SMH. FTP!
