America is developing taste. Fast food is loosing ground to gourmet food. Jug wine is loosing market to fine wine. Bottled beer is loosing drinkers to craft beer. I haven't had a bottle of major branded beer in decades. Also, before retiring, I used to travel a lot on business and always looked for craft breweries to find something good to eat. (BTW, The Black Diamond Brewery in Walnut Creek, CA, is one of my favorites).

I can brew good beer, but where the hell do you get $5,000,000 capital investment? How do you pay back $5,000,000 in capital investment and still feed your family?

That's a helluva good question. Once upon a time it was far easier to find risk capital, that is before the government began spending all the money there is. However, there are still venture capitalists who are willing to take a risk on a good business venture. What is a "good business venture"? Watch Shark Tank. They'll give you a good idea of what attracts risk capital. Also, notice how important it is to find one who is willing to help turn a good idea into a successful business. Expert help or a person with the right contacts is often more significant to the success of a business than just capitalization.
