Trump call to punish women for illegal abortions sparks firestorm

Mr. Trump apparently needs to consult with his advisors before he speaks. Once again Mr. Trump has spoken and then reversed position this time within a single day.
On Wednesday he said women should be punished for getting illegal abortions. “There has to be some form of punishment,” when asked if he would ban abortion and how he would enforce such a policy.
Later in the day Mr Trump said, he would not seek to punish a woman for getting an abortion.
"If Congress were to pass legislation making abortion illegal and the federal courts upheld this legislation, or any state were permitted to ban abortion under state and federal law, the doctor or any other person performing this illegal act upon a woman would be held legally responsible, not the woman," he said in the statement.
"The woman is a victim in this case as is the life in her womb. My position has not changed — like Ronald Reagan, I am pro-life with exceptions."

Having a lot of money, privilege, and "power" doesn't make an intelligent person. In this case, it made stupid, stupider. They should make another Dumb and Dumber movie...DnD 3 Trump vs. Common Sense. Anyone with an IQ greater than 1 shouldn't go see it.

Maj Michael Brewer this was a got ya question. Broken down it was a question of would you inforce the law or not. Personally I would have asked Mathews why he wanted to over turn the existing abortion laws.
