Pollsters haven't been faring too well in recent times and I suspect that this may be their worst year yet. It appears that we are living under the Chinese curse of "interesting times"

CPT Jack Durish - Captain; One of the major problems that pollsters have is that they still haven't found a method to cope with the fact that the percentage of people who ONLY have cell phones keeps on going up.
(In person polling is VERY expensive.)

COL Ted Mc - True. I often wonder why we keep an old fashioned land line other than out of habit. (Okay, granted it's not old fashioned. It's an internet phone.) And I use Skype within a small community. On line surveys are a joke. They're most often offered on websites or to social media audiences who are congregated to share a specific ideological persuasion. Scientific sampling (truly random) seems impossible to achieve.

CPT Jack Durish - Captain; Not "impossible" just "more expensive and time consuming".
When the vast majority of the populace would interpret (forgive me for being somewhat loose with the figures but I'm still caffeine deficient) a survey that showed that 26.01% of the voters preferred "Candidate A" while 73.99% of the voters preferred "Candidate B" to PROVE that "Candidate B" was going to win the election for President, those who see that the 26.01% constituted 51% of the voters in the states that made up 51% of the Electoral College votes might well draw a different conclusion.

I don know why anyone would follow or vote for Trump. I'm saddened to see all the Bernie minions. Have these people learned anything about Socialism in school. And last who would vote for Hillery. No accomplishments as First Lady. Unless you can count her destroying the life's of any woman to accuse Bill of sexual assault. A do nothing Senator who was elected because of he last name. A failure as Secretary of State. And now we should vote for her because she is a woman. And she even says that.

TSgt Kenneth Ellis - Sergeant; Doesn't it sound like trying to make an apple pie using only the best of the rotten apples?
