SSD initially told me that my SSD request was on track SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. Then they came back with a response that unnamed doctors could not confirm my diagnoses.
They are about as efficient as VBA which is not efficient. Although VA claims that the backlog in appeals in down to about 80k.

I am going to make a statement and I don't remember if it is true or not. I think applying while in service for SSDI depends on the severity of your disability and whether you were rated as unable to do your job. I made an appointment to see a SS worker and she helped me fill out the application. They were very nice. I got my first payment in 6 weeks plus a year of back pay. My two daughters also split $1000/mo from SS. Good luck.

I am also apart of that program from The DFW AREA; the one thing I found when I had my stroke caused by tumor the DEPT of Vet of Waco told me, if I had not been working on a civilian job I would have been turned down while I was fighting my case.
