Muslims are often more afraid of these terror attacks than the rest of the general population. They know that they risk further discrimination at the height of islamophobia.

I think this topic overlooks the major key players in attacking the Islamic State. A lot of Kurdish fighters are Muslim, the majority of the Coalition participants are Muslim, and all over Twitter you have more Muslims -against- Daesh than for.

Daesh supporters simply get more coverage. Muslims against Daesh isn't something that draws headlines.

That is likely true of some, perhaps many muslims in Belgium. There are also those that hide and/or don't report the jihadists among them when they see them, know them to be there etc. The guy from the Paris attacks hid for months in Brussels, people knew something was up. There are weapons, bomb making equipment, people are coming and going, many people talk, no one apparently reports anything to the police.

When the violence, murder and mayhem come directly out of your neighborhoods/mosques/communities you need to do more than just feel bad after an attack. You have a greater responsibility to report the murderers when you see or hear something even if just a hunch, when something doesn't feel right. You cannot expect me to believe no one new anything about any of this. Some are active in the cause, some sympathetic to it others will not report because they don't want to take the side against their brothers.

That is a very good read. Many Muslims do speak out against it, although amongst each other, not so much publicly. It takes a lot for someone to speak out publicly.
