This is a show of how the higher ups never listen to the man in the ground. The government gets to make decisions on how the people of the ground should fight a war by getting details from military and civilians, but they still make there decision by what there hear and not see. I think the politicians need to at least visit where they are sending soldiers before they make big decisions.

Johnson really got us deep into Vietnam. I don't know if younger people know just how deep. Yet polls show him as the most popular president in the last 100 years.

SP5 Mark Kuzinski, PO2 Mark Saffell, and how little they know about the man and his policies - both foreign and domestic. The man was a disaster on both fronts.
They also like Kennedy - who got us into the war in the first place. His reputation was made by Lee Harvey Oswald and he still shines today for that very reason alone.

even my mom remembers things differently She was a huge fan of JFK and always says had he lived he would have pulled us out of Vietnam. I don't argue with her but I also don't agree.
