I forget which State it was but the write in candidate won the most votes. Unfortunately, Mickey Mouse, not being real, wasn't elected. How would a person feel that took office knowing that the majority of the voters didn't want them but they also didn't want the other candidate? I'm feeling much like that now.

Where I live write-ins were not allowed on the ballot SSG Ed Mikus. It may be that some pranksters will get on the ball next time and get enough signatures of rodents and vermin in general to get the esteemed Mickey Mouse on the ballot somewhere :-)
When I first saw your discussion I was thinking computer mouse. Almost a decade ago when I was assigned to the Pentagon I placed a malfunctioning mouse into a conventional mouse trap with its tail in the trap. the computer technicians got the joke but management di not :-)
If people ever can vote remotely expect computer mice and their smart phone counterparts to become much more active.
